The resolver restarts the merge via StartConflictMerge, which had no autostash.
After a stash-retry approve reported 'conflict', the restart hit the same dirty
target, got 'dirty_target' and the resolver silently never opened. Thread the
consent through the hub, client, coordinator and resolver; surface a refusal in
the footer instead of dropping it.

Drop the unused deferredUntil parameter the branch added to HandoffRequested: the worker still sends three args, so the four-arg client handler would never bind. The reset time already arrives via HandlerHandoffDeferred.
Message-template tokens must be snake_case (repo rule) -- fixes 4 PascalCase
tokens introduced in 57dd6766. TryInvokeAsync's swallowing catch also no
longer logs a Warning for OperationCanceledException, which is routine
(e.g. worker shutdown/reconnect), not a failure worth a trace.

## Problem
Beim DeleteTask-Bug (Fix 352aaa52) gab es null Spuren: Der UI-Prozess (ClaudeDo.App) hat gar kein File-Logging (weder Serilog noch `Microsoft.Extensions.

Neue Tabelle mission_control_sessions (Migration AddMissionControlSessions), befuellt vom

Aenderungen danach wiederherstellt - opt-in pro Merge:
- Approve & Merge: Bestaetigungsdialog
- Merge-Modal: Button "Aenderungen stashen und mergen"
- MCP (merge_task/review_task) wirft weiterhin, kein autostash dort
Group C of the operation-feedback batch is fully merged; the two consumers
(DetailsIslandViewModel.ApproveReviewAsync, MergeModalViewModel) now handle
the verifying phase from the generic OperationProgressEvent handler instead
of a separate forwarder event.
When a list-handler handoff is deferred waiting for the 5h usage limit to
reset, the Mission Control pane title is augmented with ⏳ waiting for
limit reset (HH:mm) so the wait is visible at a glance. Extends
HubBroadcaster.HandoffRequested with an optional deferredUntil DateTime
parameter, wired through SignalR to MissionControlViewModel, which formats
it into the pane title via Loc.T(missionControl.waitingForLimitReset).
Ein "Abandon run"-Knopf an Handler-Panes fragt HandlerRoundState.Get(handlerTaskId)
sterben, sondern vorher selbst sauber uebergeben:
- HandlerUsageGuard (neu) warnt die laufende Session genau einmal pro Runde,
sobald FiveHour.
Beleg fuer
"war das Usage-Limit" ist FiveHour.Utilization >= 95 zum Todeszeitpunkt --
ResetsAt, dann HandoffRequested erneut broadcasten.
Verbraucht kein Handoff-Budget (HandoffRoundTracker.Register wird nicht
angefasst).
headless Runs.
The banner compared the running worker's build SHA against the
selected list's HEAD via a git ancestor check on every list switch
and reconnect. It added a git-rev-parse MSBuild target, a hub call,
and a poll loop for a corner case that hasn't come up in practice —
not worth the moving parts.
The editor was reachable from one button that only appeared in My Day,
which is how it got forgotten. It is now a permanent sidebar entry next
to My Day and Planned, and it fills the tasks island rather than the
details pane, because a note list is content.
Inside, the date picker is gone: today sits at the top with the capture
box, older days follow as dated groups. Enter in a note saves it and
opens the next one, Shift+Enter breaks the line so notes can be several,
Backspace on an empty note deletes it and steps back up. Deleting also
has a visible hover button instead of only "clear the text and hope".
Agent-written notes carry a marker.

WorkerHub and IWorkerClient each carried their own copy of every record and
had already drifted — MergePreviewDto lost its verify fields on the client
side, two records disagreed on their name. They now live in Data/Wire.cs and
reach both sides via a <Using> item, so a hub signature change is a compile
error instead of a silently dropped JSON field.
The modal deliberately shows only a slice of the analytics; this hands off
to TokenTracker's own local dashboard for the rest. The worker starts
`tokentracker serve` on demand and returns the URL, the UI opens the browser.
Three things the spawn has to get right: port 7680 is not free on Windows
(Delivery Optimization holds [::]:7680) and serve does not fall back, so we
scan 7680-7689 with a dual-stack bind probe; --no-open because the CLI would
open the browser before the server answers; and the child is a cmd.exe shim,
so shutdown kills the process tree. --no-sync keeps our no-cloud-sync rule.
Klassifiziert einen echten Usage-Limit-Abbruch als eigene FailureReason
"usage_limit" (TaskRunner.
- Fail-open durchgängig: kein Snapshot/keine Reset-Zeit → kein Timer, kein
Continue, kein Throw.
Neither the initial nor the handoff kickoff ever told a list-handler
session its own handler task id, so handoff_list_handler(taskId, ...)
was unrenderable -- the handoff chain broke exactly where it was needed
(#200/#201 on 2026-08-21).
Add {handlerTaskId} to both MergeHelperInitialDefault and
MergeHelperHandoffDefault, thread a handlerTaskId parameter through
BuildForMergeHelperAsync (interface, WorkerHub.GetMergeHelperLaunchSpec,
IWorkerClient/WorkerClient, and the MissionControlViewModel call site,
which already had the id from CreateMergeHelperTaskAsync but never
passed it on), and render it in BuildForMergeHelperHandoffAsync from the
taskId parameter it already receives.
RenderTemplate leaves unknown/missing tokens untouched, so a
user-edited override without the new token still renders fine -- no
forced migration for override users.
The task-list done toggle (both islands) and RemoveFromQueue wrote TaskEntity.Status
directly via EF, bypassing TaskStateService: no TaskUpdated broadcast, no guard against
a concurrent picker claim (lost update), and no status-based filter. Added guarded
MarkDoneAsync/UnmarkDoneAsync/DequeueToIdleAsync transitions plus matching hub methods
(SetTaskDone/UnsetTaskDone/DequeueTask) and IWorkerClient wrappers; the three UI call
sites now route through the hub with optimistic-then-revert row updates and
ErrorReported on failure. RemoveFromQueueAsync dequeues each queued child individually
through the same guarded path instead of cascading via a raw EF update.
Also closes two hub guard gaps: UpdateListConfig's delete branch now preserves a list's
SerializeOnFileOverlap flag instead of dropping it, and SubmitTaskForReview's Idle/Failed
status gate now runs before either mutation branch so a Done/Cancelled task can't get
committed or stamped and then rejected.
A child merge that came back blocked/verify_failed/untracked_collision during a
parent/children unit merge used to vanish: DrainAsync only logged it server-side,
PlanningMergeAborted carried no reason, and ApproveReview/review_task always
reported StatusMerged for a task with children regardless of the real outcome,
so a failed unit merge left the parent stuck with no visible error.
- PlanningMergeOrchestrator.StartAsync/ContinueAsync/DrainAsync now return a
PlanningMergeResult(Status, Reason) instead of void, and PlanningMergeAborted
carries that reason to the UI.
- WorkerHub.ApproveReview and ExternalMcpService.ReviewTask's approve branch
propagate the real status/reason for a parent with children instead of
hardcoding "merged" (or masking a non-conflict failure as "conflict").
- StartAsync now requires the parent to already be WaitingForReview for
improvement parents too, not just planning ones, so a stale caller can no
longer trigger a partial child merge.
- HasActiveMerge now also covers the window between the last child merging and
FinalizeParentDoneAsync completing, closing a gap where a concurrent Cancel
could race the parent's own approve-to-Done transition.
- IslandsShellViewModel.OnPlanningMergeAborted flashes the reason via
FlashFooterError instead of only clearing the external-merge banner.
Merge/verify phases now broadcast over a generic (opKey, phase, current,
total) Hub event instead of a merge-specific one, so future producers
(worktree cleanup, startup recovery, planning integration) can reuse it.
IWorkerClient.MergeProgressEvent stays as a thin forwarder for existing
consumers (elapsed seconds riding in the generic "current" slot).
Two chokepoints per P0-2: WorkerClient.InvokeTimedAsync(<T>) wraps all 63
_hub.InvokeAsync call sites (plus TryInvokeAsync), and Stopwatch blocks
around the Island VMs' bulk DB load/write paths (list load, task list load,
reorders, batch delete, reconcile tick, count refresh). Single-row reads
stay untouched per the plan's rule of thumb. No display, no behavior change.
The merge commit message was hand-rolled per caller ("Merge task: <title>",
"Merge <branch>", "Merge subtask") and ignored the task's commit type. Every
caller now passes a blank message and TaskMergeService fills in
CommitMessageBuilder.BuildMerge -> {commitType}(list-slug): merge <title> plus the
ClaudeDo-Task trailer; the merge modal prefills it from GetMergeTargets.
A merge whose list has a verify command holds the MergeTask call for minutes (5m46s
on this repo), during which the modal only disabled its button - no spinner, no
message, so a landed merge looked like a dead app. TaskMergeService now broadcasts
MergeProgress(taskId, phase, elapsedSeconds) for the merging and verifying phases
(re-reported every 30s) plus a WorkerLog line when verify starts; the modal shows a
spinner and the localized phase.
HandoffRequested now carries nextPhase end to end (IWorkerClient ->
WorkerClient -> MissionControlViewModel -> GetMergeHelperHandoffLaunchSpecAsync),
and the outgoing tile is left open on handoff instead of being closed --
lookups that need the active pane for a task now use LastOrDefault since a
handler task's ConPtySessions can hold more than one pane.
Queuing (update_task_status, batch_update_task_status) and run_task_now
now surface a non-blocking baseDirty warning (separate modified/untracked
counts) when the list's working dir has uncommitted changes at enqueue
time, since a new worktree forks from the commit tip and silently misses
them. BaseDirtyChecker caches per working dir for a few seconds so a
batch queue over many tasks in one list only shells out to git once. The
UI surfaces the same warning via the footer error strip on queue actions.
DeleteTaskAsync had no IsConnected guard, unlike every other worker-dependent
command in DetailsIslandViewModel, so an offline delete was a silent no-op.
WorkerClient.DeleteTaskAsync also only caught HubException, letting the
InvalidOperationException thrown by an inactive hub connection escape into
the unobserved command task and vanish.
Gate DeleteTaskCommand behind CanDeleteTask (Task != null && IsConnected),
re-evaluate it on connection-state changes, widen WorkerClient to catch the
connection-inactive case too, and wrap the ViewModel's call in try/catch as
a second line of defense against a race between the guard and the call.
Deleting a child from the details pane hard-deleted straight from the UI
process via TaskRepository, bypassing TaskStateService.TryAdvanceParentAsync
entirely. Deleting the last child of a WaitingForChildren parent that way
left it wedged forever. WorkerHub.DeleteTask now mirrors the MCP delete_task
tool (running-task guard, FK-friendly error, advance-parent call), and the
UI goes through it.
TryAdvanceParentAsync also short-circuited when zero children remained,
treating "no children left" as "nothing to evaluate" instead of "all done" -
removed the early return so an empty child list (vacuously) counts as all
terminal.
review_task/continue_merge on a planning parent always leaves conflicts in
the tree, and the UI auto-opened the resolver on every PlanningMergeConflict
broadcast regardless of who started the merge -- so a running Claude session
resolving a unit-merge conflict could race a human editing the same shared
checkout in a resolver window neither of them asked for.
PlanningMergeOrchestrator.StartAsync now takes an externallyDriven flag (set
by ExternalMcpService's MCP-driven review_task path, left false for the UI's
ApproveReview) that rides along on the PlanningMergeConflict broadcast. The
UI only auto-opens the resolver when it's false; otherwise it shows a
persistent banner with a manual "Open resolver" button, cleared on
PlanningMergeAborted/PlanningCompleted. A new GetActiveExternalConflictsAsync
query (checked against GitService.IsMidMergeAsync rather than the in-memory
flag alone) lets the UI resync the banner on reconnect instead of trusting a
one-shot broadcast that isn't replayed after a restart.
The childless single-task conflict path was checked and needed no change --
it only broadcasts the generic TaskUpdated, never PlanningMergeConflict.
Stamps ClaudeDo.Worker's build with its exact git SHA (SourceRevisionId ->
InformationalVersion) and exposes it via a new GetWorkerBuildInfo hub call.
For the currently selected list, the shell compares that SHA against the
list's git HEAD (GitService.IsAncestorAsync) and shows a persistent footer
banner -- never auto-clearing, never shown on an unrelated repo or when the
ancestry can't be determined -- so "verified against a merge" claims aren't
silently made against a stale process. No auto-restart; the banner just
offers the existing RestartWorkerCommand.

The merge-helper ("Let Claude handle it") system prompt now calls a new
handoff_list_handler MCP tool once every surviving task is enhanced,
instead of continuing into Phases 3-5 in the same session -- avoiding
paying for Phases 0-2's dedupe/rewrite context on every polling round of
the run/review/merge phases.
The tool broadcasts HandoffRequested; Mission Control opens a second
ConPTY tile for the SAME handler task id (no new task, HandlerBaseCommit
untouched) running a fresh handoff brief that starts at Phase 3. The
original tile stays open. Adds PromptKind.MergeHelperHandoff,
InteractiveLaunchSpecService.BuildForMergeHelperHandoffAsync, and the
GetMergeHelperHandoffLaunchSpec hub method.
The usage monitor polled the undocumented OAuth usage endpoint every 60s and
earned 429s. It now polls every 5 min while any task is Running and every
15 min while idle (usage_poll_interval_active_seconds / _idle_seconds, both
clamped to >= 60; the old single usage_poll_interval_seconds key is gone).
A 429 comes back as UsageRateLimitedException carrying Retry-After and adds
exponential backoff on top, capped at 30 min and never shorter than the normal
cadence; the strike count resets on the first success. The schedule arithmetic
is the pure static UsagePollSchedule.NextDelay.
Since the idle cadence is slow on purpose, WorkerHub.RefreshUsage drives
UsageMonitorService.RefreshNowAsync behind a Refresh now button in the Usage
Monitor modal: an out-of-band poll that pushes the loop's next-due time out so
no double poll follows, with a 10s cooldown so click-spam can't earn a 429.
Staleness now measures against the slower (idle) interval so an idle worker
isn't flagged stale just for not polling.

Runaway sessions were the single biggest cost driver: model_presets was
never persisted (stayed code-only), default_max_turns shipped at 100, and
ResolveMaxTurns had no upper bound, so a task/list override could run
hundreds of turns unchecked.
- TaskRunner.ResolveMaxTurns now clamps the resolved value to
AppSettings.MaxTurnsCeiling (new column, default 80) and logs a warning
with task id / requested / effective value when it clamps.
- default_max_turns default lowered from 100 to 40 (entity, EF config,
and the seeded row via the new AddMaxTurnsCeiling migration).
- AppSettingsRepository.GetAsync backfills model_presets with the
shipping defaults on first read instead of leaving the column null.
- Settings > General's per-model preset table and the task/list agent
editor now show a hint when a set max-turns value exceeds the ceiling.
