A standalone parent (PlanningPhase.None) with existing Idle/Queued children
now runs itself first, then sequences its children instead of flat-enqueuing
all of them at once: SubmitForChildrenAsync calls
PlanningChainCoordinator.SetupChainAsync(enqueue: true) right after the
Running -> WaitingForChildren transition, mirroring the planning path but
firing immediately instead of waiting for an explicit "Queue plan". Planning
parents are left untouched (they queue via QueuePlanAsync), and a child
already Running makes SetupChainAsync throw, which is now caught and logged
so it can't fail the parent's own transition.
TaskRunner.BuildFailureMarkdown returned a hardcoded German string for
TerminalReason == "max_turns", the only worker-generated string not in
English. Surfaced as the outcome/roadblock card for one of the most likely
first failures, looking broken to non-German users.
HeaderActions-Slot).
Eine manuelle Liste (Erinnerungen) hat kein WorkingDir. BuildForTaskAsync
warf dafuer bisher "no working directory configured", die interaktive
sterben, sondern vorher selbst sauber uebergeben:
- HandlerUsageGuard (neu) warnt die laufende Session genau einmal pro Runde,
sobald FiveHour.
Beleg fuer
"war das Usage-Limit" ist FiveHour.Utilization >= 95 zum Todeszeitpunkt --
ResetsAt, dann HandoffRequested erneut broadcasten.
Verbraucht kein Handoff-Budget (HandoffRoundTracker.Register wird nicht
angefasst).
headless Runs.
Drei neue app_settings-Spalten (Migration AddPowerUseWindow):
power_use_window_start/end (HH:mm, lokal, nullable) und
power_use_handoff_pct (NOT NULL DEFAULT 95, geclampt 50-99).
halboffen. Geprueft wird in ComposeHandlerPromptAsync, also pro Phase
Settings->General unsichtbar, aber load->save durchgereicht.
Nebenbefund, gleicher Pfad: AppSettingsRepository.UpdateAsync kopiert
still wirkungslos.
HandoffRoundTracker.
was eine entlaufene Handoff-Kette begrenzt, "0 = unbegrenzt" darf kein Aufrufer
waehlen koennen.
InteractiveLaunchSpecService.
interaktiven Regeln formuliert (nie fragen, entscheiden und protokollieren;
Features genau daran haengt.
A handler session only learned the chain was capped when handoff_list_handler
threw at the end of its work, stranding open tasks. The round count already
lived in HandoffRoundTracker the whole time -- it just never reached the
brief. InteractiveLaunchSpecService now reads HandoffRoundTracker.GetState
(read-only, doesn't advance the round) and renders round N of MaxHandoffs
plus the remaining count into the handoff brief, replacing the old one-line
finalNote. The rejection error also names the next action (start a new
handler run) instead of just failing.

in 'duplicate column name'.
update_task_status Idle/Done, WorkerHub.SetTaskStatus, and the UI's Mark
Done/Cancelled menu items could all force a Running task's status without
going through TaskStateService's guards, leaving its CLI process untracked
and its worktree writes silently dropped. Idle now routes through the
already-guarded TaskStateService.ResetToIdleAsync instead of the repo's
unconditional ResetToManualAsync; Done and SetTaskStatus explicitly reject
Running; the context menu disables both entries with a tooltip while
running. TaskRunner also now logs a warning whenever a terminal transition
(SubmitForChildren/SubmitForReview/Complete/Fail) is rejected instead of
silently discarding the run result. DeleteTask's MCP path gets the same
friendly foreign-key message WorkerHub.DeleteTask already had for a task
with children.
IBaseDirtyChecker, IInteractiveLaunchSpecService and the LaunchSpec wrapper
had one implementation and one caller each; ProcessRunnerAdapter existed only
to give a static class an interface, and InstallArtifactLocator used
inheritance for two constructor arguments. The external MCP container now
shares its singletons through a Share<T> helper instead of 17 near-identical
registrations.
Nine interfaces had exactly one implementation and no test double — they existed
only to be named twice in a DI registration: IFindingsStore, IFindingsStoreLocator,
IPrimeScheduleSignal, IRefineRunner, IWeekReportService, IMergeCoordinator,
IMissionControlPane, IOnlineLoginService, ITaskListFilter. Consumers now depend on
the concrete type; the DTO records that shared those files moved next to their
implementation. IInteractiveLaunchSpecService stays — it carries 54 lines of
contract documentation, which is not ceremony.
IMergeCoordinator in particular had a redundant null object: MergeCoordinator with
a null Handler already no-ops, and every test used the real class with Handler set.
Filtering/ collapses from 8 files to 1. ITaskListFilter and TaskListFilterBase were
a double abstraction over four predicates, with MatchesAsContext => false declared
in both. SmartFlagFilter also compiled its expression twice (its own _flag plus the
inherited Matches cache) — it now uses the cache.
StaticTokenAuthProvider was in src but production uses ZitadelAuthProvider; it is
a test double, so it moves to the test project. Its own test goes away with it.
Klassifiziert einen echten Usage-Limit-Abbruch als eigene FailureReason
"usage_limit" (TaskRunner.
- Fail-open durchgängig: kein Snapshot/keine Reset-Zeit → kein Timer, kein
Continue, kein Throw.
Neither the initial nor the handoff kickoff ever told a list-handler
session its own handler task id, so handoff_list_handler(taskId, ...)
was unrenderable -- the handoff chain broke exactly where it was needed
(#200/#201 on 2026-08-21).
Add {handlerTaskId} to both MergeHelperInitialDefault and
MergeHelperHandoffDefault, thread a handlerTaskId parameter through
BuildForMergeHelperAsync (interface, WorkerHub.GetMergeHelperLaunchSpec,
IWorkerClient/WorkerClient, and the MissionControlViewModel call site,
which already had the id from CreateMergeHelperTaskAsync but never
passed it on), and render it in BuildForMergeHelperHandoffAsync from the
taskId parameter it already receives.
RenderTemplate leaves unknown/missing tokens untouched, so a
user-edited override without the new token still renders fine -- no
forced migration for override users.
ClaudeDo-Task: 15e126d564874973be2a5bbe7d796646
Fills the silent gap between Queued and the first agent output: WorktreeManager
now broadcasts a "creating_worktree" phase (before the initial git worktree add
and again for the self-heal retry section) through the existing OperationProgress
channel, and the task row shows it via the pre-existing but unused
ops.worker.creatingWorktree locale key until the next entity refresh clears it.
Confirmed the 2026-08-07 triage finding still holds: TaskRunner already
broadcasts WorktreeUpdated right after WorktreeManager.CreateAsync
(TaskRunner.cs:342-346, :501) -- no second broadcast added there.
TaskRunner.
File.WriteAllTextAsync) den Token in der TaskRunTokenRegistry geleakt
(betrifft denselben Aufruf in RunAsync mit, daher dort ebenfalls
verdrahtet - RunAsync-Struktur selbst unverändert).
QueueService.RunInSlotAsync: der Stop-Button (CancelTask) cancelt die
Slot-CTS direkt ohne TaskStateService-Schreibzugriff.
CancelReview),
wird nicht überschrieben. Kommentar korrigiert.
TDD: neue Tests in ContinueAsyncExceptionTests (Seed-/MCP-Setup-Fehler
Worker.Tests: 1213/1213 grün, Worker baut in Release.
The merge commit message was hand-rolled per caller ("Merge task: <title>",
"Merge <branch>", "Merge subtask") and ignored the task's commit type. Every
caller now passes a blank message and TaskMergeService fills in
CommitMessageBuilder.BuildMerge -> {commitType}(list-slug): merge <title> plus the
ClaudeDo-Task trailer; the merge modal prefills it from GetMergeTargets.
A merge whose list has a verify command holds the MergeTask call for minutes (5m46s
on this repo), during which the modal only disabled its button - no spinner, no
message, so a landed merge looked like a dead app. TaskMergeService now broadcasts
MergeProgress(taskId, phase, elapsedSeconds) for the merging and verifying phases
(re-reported every 30s) plus a WorkerLog line when verify starts; the modal shows a
spinner and the localized phase.
Slice 4/5 of task-numbers: TaskRowViewModel.Number renders as a dimmed
"#123" before the row title; DetailsIslandViewModel.TaskIdBadge now
shows "#123" instead of the unusable "#T<guid-prefix>" handle; and the
curated WorkerLog business events in TaskRunner, TaskMergeService, and
TaskResetService prefix their quoted title with "#<Number>".
Threads a nextPhase parameter (wait/merge/wait_final/merge_final, validated
by the new MergeHelperPhase) from handoff_list_handler through
HubBroadcaster/WorkerHub into InteractiveLaunchSpecService, which now picks
the next session's system prompt (MergeHelperWait/MergeHelperMerge) and
model (HandlerWaitAlias/HandlerMergeAlias) from it instead of hardcoding the
old two-phase Execute prompt -- this also fixes a build break left by the
prior prompt-split task, which removed PromptKind.MergeHelperExecute without
updating its only caller.
Also sets --model/--effort/--permission-mode explicitly for every list-handler
session (Triage included) via PermissionModeResolver instead of inheriting the
CLI's ambient model and hardcoding "auto", and adds Task to the merge-helper
allowlist so the Merge phase can delegate diff reviews to subagents.
A list working_dir stored as "C:\Dev\Tests\StaplerTracking\" broke every consumer
that puts it on a Windows command line: argv rules read \" as an escaped quote, so
the token never closes. "Open in terminal" passed wt.exe a starting directory of
C:\Dev\Tests\StaplerTracking" and it failed with 0x8007010b; the same data had
already corrupted the ConPTY list handler's arg list in August.
Paths.TrimTrailingSeparator is now the single helper (replacing the copies in
InteractiveLaunchSpecService and ClaudeHelpLauncher) and ListRepository applies it
on Add/Update, which covers every writer: UI create, repo import, hub UpdateList,
and MCP CreateList/UpdateList. OpenInTerminal also switches to ArgumentList so its
quoting is correct regardless of what's stored.
TaskRunner.ContinueAsync resolved a ClaudeRunConfig but never attached
a per-run MCP token/config or AllowedTools the way RunAsync does, so a
--resume continuation (e.g. reject-rerun with feedback) lost every
mcp__claudedo_run__* tool, including AskUser. Extracted the setup into
SetupMcpConfigAsync and call it from both paths, with matching cleanup
in ContinueAsync's finally block.
get_task/batch_get_tasks now return failureReason (max_turns|timeout|error|
cancelled|unknown) plus failureTurnsUsed/failureMaxTurns on a Failed task, so
max_turns (worktree usually fine, continue_task) is distinguishable from a
real error (reset_failed_task) without pulling get_task_log's raw NDJSON.
Classified and stamped onto TaskEntity by TaskRunner.MarkFailed via
TaskStateService.FailAsync; TaskRunEntity also keeps the CLI's raw
terminal_reason/result_subtype/errors for deeper diagnosis. reset_failed_task's
description now warns explicitly that it discards the worktree and points at
continue_task for max_turns. Surfaced on the task card's status-chip tooltip.
get_task_diff gained an optional paths param (git pathspec, both stat and
full-diff modes) so a large multi-file task can be narrowed to the files
actually in question instead of shipping the whole diff.
preview_merge_set now also reports Subsets: pairs where one task's changed
files are a proper subset of another's in the same set, the strongest
available post-hoc signal that a task may be redundant with another.
Path.GetDirectoryName returned workingDir itself instead of its parent
whenever list.WorkingDir ended in a directory separator, placing
.claudedo-worktrees inside the target repo's own working tree. Add
WorktreeRootResolver to normalize the trailing separator before deriving
the sibling root and to guard that the resulting worktree path never
lands inside workingDir, used by both WorktreeManager and
PlanningSessionManager. Add a startup sweep (LegacyWorktreeFolderRecovery)
that warns when a list's working dir already contains a leftover
.claudedo-worktrees folder from before the fix.
Both merge-helper ConPTY sessions loaded PromptKind.MergeHelper, so the
post-handoff session received the phase 0-2 dedupe/enhance instructions and was
told to ignore them by its brief alone.
Split into MergeHelperTriage (phases 0-2 + handoff) and MergeHelperExecute
(phases 3-5), so each session carries only its own phases. Consolidated the
generic ask-the-user rule to one place per prompt, scoped Phase 5's summary to
what the execute session actually knows, and moved the dedupe/enhance bilanz to
the triage handoff. Regression guards assert neither prompt carries the other's
phase headings and that the shared-checkout git rule stays in execute.
The ConPTY host flattens LaunchSpec.Args into one Windows command line and quotes
each token, so a list working dir stored as "C:\repo\" produced the token
"C:\repo\" -- whose trailing backslash escapes its own closing quote. Everything
after it collapsed into --add-dir's variadic list, including
--append-system-prompt-file and the positional kickoff, so "Let Claude handle it"
opened a session with no prompt at all and the CLI warned that brief.md is not a
directory. Only user-supplied working dirs can carry a trailing separator; the
session dirs the worker builds never do.
TaskRunner.RunAsync created the worktree (PrepareRunDirectoryAsync)
before claiming Running via StartRunningAsync. RunNow dispatches by
task id with no atomic claim of their own, so a Queued task racing
the queue picker's atomic SQL claim could hit WorktreeManager's
branch-collision self-heal, which force-removes and recreates the
winner's live worktree mid-run.
Move the claim before any resource creation and bail out immediately
when it's rejected. OverrideSlotService.RunNow also fast-rejects a
task already Running in the DB (defense in depth). RunCancellationRegistry
now refuses (and logs) a double registration instead of silently
overwriting the first CTS, so a losing dispatch's cleanup can no
longer unregister the winner's cancellation token.
Generates the claude session id up front (--session-id <guid>) for a fresh interactive task
session and persists it to TaskEntity.InteractiveSessionId before launch, so an abort at any
point still leaves a resumable id. BuildForTaskAsync now resumes this task's own last
interactive session in preference to the latest autonomous run's session, but never across a
freshly (re)created worktree.
Remove the redundant TaskUpdated broadcast in TaskRunner.ContinueAsync's
queue-claim path, consolidate InteractiveLaunchSpecService's seven
MCP_TOOL_TIMEOUT literals into one constant (fixing the merge-helper handoff
spec's stale 200000ms value), and surface OpenQuickClaudeSession's two
failure cases via ErrorReported/footer instead of a silent no-op, with a
less ambiguous icon.
